Hello and welcome to the April Blogging Friends Blog Hop. This month our theme is Easter so I know you will find a lot of inspiration with this month hop since Easter is only a few weeks away. I used the Fable Friends stamp set to create my Shadow box card for you today. Here’s a look at my card.
My Card uses a full sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock. I just trimmed it down to two card bases and put it all together. I also used the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series paper for both the inside and outside. I colored the images using Stampin’ Blend markers. Before putting the two pieces together I cut a opening using the Layering Oval Dies. Once that was done and put together the fun really started.
Once I had everything colored I did a little fussy cutting since there are no matching dies for this stamp set. I stamped and punched one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala Stamp set and colored them in in matching colors. I also did a lot of die cutting of the grasses. I used the die from the Catch of the Day Thinlits. Once I had them cut out I used my stamping blends and added different tones.
All the fable friends were attached with a little liquid glue on one of three different tiers. Each tier are at a slightly taller size than the one in front. I made a special envelope to house my card using the same designer series paper and the envelope punch board.
I wanted to give you a little look through the looking glass so to speak. To finish off my card for today I added some of the Gingham Gala sequins and a few of the Frosted flower embellishments.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you have enjoyed my card. You can pick up the supplies that I used on my card today in my online store (clicking the shop tab above) or by clicking on the product in the shopping list below.
