Hello and welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop. With Valentine’s Day, and weddings being planned and any other event having to do with finding that special someone just around the corner. It was the perfect time for this months theme. This month our theme is Love, and it’s just the right time to share a little love. I know that the other hoppers have came up with some great projects for you this month and I am super excited to see what they came up with too. Here’s a look at my project.

I was inspired by one of the stamp sets in the 2019 Occasions Catalog for my card today. I was inspired by the Hey Love Stamp Set; which features some of the cutest little creatures you will ever see. The only critter that the stamp set didn’t seem to have was the Octopus. But the Sea of Texture stamp set did. So it was perfect to create a very nontraditional card. When I was thinking about Valentine’s, Love, and what it meant to be a couple for some reason the Octopus kept coming to mind, so it was meant to be the image and set I needed to use.

I think its a little funny where you can find inspiration at sometimes.

I took some of the Tranquil Texture Designer Series Paper and did a little die cutting. I took the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies and cut out a few of the hearts and the matching scalloped hearts. I then took the smaller ones and made a little heart shaped shaker element and placed on the front of the heart. Before I placed the hearts into place I stamped the seaweed and coral on my Whisper White Thick card base (4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). Once I had everything ready to go it was time to stick everything done. I used my multipurpose liquid glue to do just that.

For my shaker elements I used the Tranquil texture sprinkles. I simply cut a extra heart out from window sheeting and attached it the scalloped heart. I then added a few pieces of the foam adhesive strips to create the shaker. The Tranquil Texture Sprinkles were the perfect elements for the inside of the shaker element. They look like little tiny pieces of sea glass.

I then stamped the inside of the card using the same two stamp sets. I used the Meant to Be stamp Set for all my sentiments as well as the little hearts that are stamped around in my three colors. I pulled all of the colors from my designer series paper. I used a few of the Heart Epoxy Droplets that I colored with my Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue Dark Stampin’ Blend markers. This added the perfect little extra touch to the card without any extra work.

I shared a sneak peek of this card on Wednesday night during my Weekly Facebook Live while doing my 2019 Occasions Catalog Launch Party. If you missed that post you can see it here. But, I mentioned during it that this card had a little secret. And, told them that if they wanted to see what the secret was that they would have to join me today on the blog hope to find out what it was.

I know now that I mentioned that there was a secret about this card I know that you are dying to know what that is right? Well, I will go ahead and tell you. This is not just a plain shaker Valentine’s day card. I know it looks like it but trust me it’s not. It actually has a hidden card someone located on the card. Can you guess where it may be? Okay, Okay, I will tell you. If you look under the heart and the shaker element, you will reveal the hidden card that reveals another sentiment. I know you are looking at the picture trying to figure it out so I am just going to go ahead and show you.

I bet you didn’t see that coming now did you. Well, it’s time for me to let you get one with the rest of the hop and not take up more of your time.
