Hello and welcome to my blog! I want to take a minute and wish you a very Happy New Year. With the New Year comes moving on from the past and moving on to the new. I know that 2019 will have big things for us all. I wanted to take a couple minutes and share with you my twelve favorite projects from 2018. I went through all my posts from 2018 and just let me tell you that was lot of work, and took a little while to narrow some of them down to my favorite.
You will be able to click on each image and it will take you to that particular blog post. I am going to start off with January and work my way back till this December. Are you ready well away we go.
Back on January 9, 2018 I shared a video tutorial showing you how to make a Valentine with the new Narrow Note Cards and a fun love filled box using the Lots to Love Box Framelits dies and other products from last years Valentine’s Suite.
On February 5, 2018 I shared with you how to make one of the pillow gifts that the attendees of my Winter Tutti-Frutti Retreat in a Box received. Each person got five pillow gifts all themed around the Tutti-Frutti suite in last years Occasions catalog. I wanted them to have some inspiration and some other ideas they could do with one of my favorite suites besides the cards and a sampler that they made. With the Monogram Home Decor art piece I wanted them to be able to have a fun little art piece to display in their craft room but yet have a personal touch to it. I loved this suite of products it was fun playful and colorful.
In my post in March I shared with you the Spotlight coloring technique using the Springtime Foil Designer Series paper. I walked you through step by step how to do this easy fun technique using the featured product the Springtime Foil Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper, and I just think its lovely. The Springtime Foil paper featured Gold, silver, and Rose Gold Foil accents in some wonderful spring designs.
In April I shared with you a fun quick sketch for the Paper Craft Crews weekly challenge. For this week we had a fun sketch for you and for my card I used new products from the 2018 Annual catalog; and I used the Animal Outing Stamp Set that i received at OnStage back in April.
For May’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop our theme was a great one! We all created cards featuring a Fancy Fold. I picked a great fold for you that month and from what I can tell was kind of new. The fold that I am shared was called the Impossible Card.
I shared a fun birthday card just because I loved it in June. What better reason to share a card with friends then because you love it. The card was created with the Hostess set Hand Delivered. This is a fun set that features sentiments for birthday, get well, thank you, and even graduation. What could be better in a Stamp Set.
July’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop; theme was all about the new 2018 Annual Catalog. There was so many things to pick from that it was hard to narrow it down to just one thing. I settled on one of my favorite stamp sets Postcard Pals.
I had a fun clean and simple card to share in August. It used some unexpected products and only one stamp set. This was actually a colorful card even through it is mostly white.
My Falling for Leaves See Through card was probably my most unique card that I’ve shared this year, and a little time consuming, but was well worth it.
For my card I pulled out one of my favorite techniques. I wanted to create a Fall theme card to go along with this week’s theme. So I pulled out the Baby Wipe Technique to Create a morning sunrise forest themed card.
I chose to use the Signs of Santa Stamp Set as my featured set for this card. This set is fun a fun suite of products that’s been very popular. I also decided to do a little ink blending and stampin’ blend coloring.
I shared a card that I made to send to some friends that I made back in August. Ten demonstrators that didn’t really know each other very well, but was open to coming and being open to this new experience. I had never been to Utah and never thought that I would ever get to go. But I boarded the plane early on a Sunday morning in August to have my life changed forever.
I hope that you have enjoyed my little walk down memory lane this year. I know I did! Picking all these cards for this post really brought back some wonderful memories some pain from running the Big Shot back and forth many many times, I will see you a little later today for another post featuring a little sneak peek of another Saleabration project.
