Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am kicking off my ten days of Saleabration Celebration where I will be sharing Sneak Peeks of some of the wonderful new products that will be coming in the upcoming Saleabration Brochure. I picked one of my favorite sets to start off with; the photopolymer stamp set Hello Cupcake. Here’s a look at my card.
I actually found the inspiration for my card today in the Saleabration Brochure. When you are looking for inspiration the best place to find it is in one of the catalogs. They are packed full of all types of card designs, that you can CASE (Copy and Share Everything).
The Hello Cupcake Stamp Set is a builder stamp set. You have all the images to make any type of cupcake you want. You can add sprinkles, a heart shaped insert, little flowers and just the sweetest sentiments you will ever see.
And speaking of the sentiments I used all of them to stamp my background on my card base. Which is a piece of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock. I stamped in matching Blueberry Bushel Classic Ink. The colors that I picked for my card are Blueberry Bushel, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, and Early Espresso.
To build the cupcake I started from the bottom up. I stamped the wrapper in Early Espresso, and the cake part in Daffodil Delight (to give the impression of a yellow cake). My icing was stamped in Bermuda Bay with Blueberry Bushel. Since it’s a photopolymer Set it’s easy to line each layer up where they line up just perfectly.
After stamping everything it was time to cut it out. There’s not a matching die set you will have to do a little fussy cutting. But not fear it’s not hard to do so. Since the lines are simple and bold it’s real easy to follow how to cut.
I did add a little vellum Cardstock to the front of the card to mute the background and to add a little place to rest the eye. This also added a focal area for the card to draw your attention up from the sentiment to the cupcake itself. For the sentiment I picked the Sprinkled with Love and placed it on a piece of whisper white that I flagged both ends.
Thanks for dropping by today and I hope you have enjoyed my little sneak peek of the Hello Cupcake stamp set.
