Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am going to share with you a quick and easy gift card holder with a bonus card insert that is so easy and quick that you can make a lot of them. And we all need something quick and easy to put those gift cards in along with dress them up a little. Here’s a look at my project for today.
I used the Striped Treat Bags to make the holder for the gift card. All you have to do is fold up the treat bag about about 3″ of so. This is really done by eye. From the bottom of the treat bag to the top you want to have a inch margin. You will take a 3 1/2 x 4 piece of whisper white and attach your gift card to this with a mini glue dot. The top piece is about 4 3/4 x 4 and you are going to stamp and write your message on this piece at the corners your will use the Detailed Trio Punch and punch the flower like image at the top on both sides. Insert this into the back part of the gift card holder.
To hold it close you will take a piece of 2 1/2″ x 11 piece of Under the Mistletoe Designer Series paper and wrap around the folded up treat bag. Use your snail to secure the ends together. You will then stamp the Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Happy New Year in Old Olive ink on Whisper White Cardstock (don’t do what I just noticed and grab a piece of Very Vanilla scrap). Use the Everyday Label Punch and punch out the stamped image. Add a couple Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the label punch and attach to a Pearlized Doilies behind the label. Add a couple more dimensionals and secure it to the designer series paper.
You want to make sure that the dimensionals stay behind the label punch out and on the designer series paper. You, want to make sure that the belly band will still slide up and down with ease.
Thanks for dropping by today, if you are having to dress up a few gift cards I hope that you give this a try. This project can be changed up to fit any holiday with just a few changes of paper and stamp sets.
