Hello and welcome to this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop.  Each member of the blog hop have created alternative projects featuring the November Paper Pumpkin Kit entitled To You & Yours.  This month’s kit is a very festive kit that features 20 cards ( 10 each of 2 designs).  You can see my blog post about this month’s kit and the cards how they were intended to be by clicking here.  Here’s a look at my two alternative projects.

For my two alternative projects I created a Z-fold card and a Take Out Treat Box with a fun festive tag.  This month’s kit was a little harder to come up with alternative projects for because it was just so stinking cute!  It was a wonderful kit and that made it hard to not just create the kit as intended.  Here’s a look at those cute cards.

For my Z-fold card I used one of the Crumb Cake Card bases and my stampin’ trimmer and scored the front at 2 1/8″.  At that point I burnished the score lines in a accordion manner.  I also finished off the card front by cutting one of the card fronts into two pieces.  I was cut to 2 x 5 1/4.  These were added to each z fold.  For the inside I added a piece of crumb cake (4 x 5 1/4) to the in side of the card and a piece of Very Vanilla (3 3/4 x 5).  I stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card using Cherry Cobbler.  I added a few of the pine boughs using Garden Green.  I cut a large scallop circle in Cherry Cobbler and added the wood grain circle from the kit.  I added five or six of the die cut pine boughs to the circle like a wreath.  I stamped one of the banners and added it to the wreath with Dimensionals.  To finish off the wreath I added a few of the sequins from this month’s kit and a bow tied with the braided Cherry cobbler ribbon.

For my 3D item I created a Treat box using the Takeout Treat Boxes.  I used a piece of crumb cake cardstock to cut out the treat box.  I then used one of the dies in the set and cut out one of the other card fronts sides for the treat box.   Each of these got attached to the sides of the box.  I then took the remainder of the left over card front, and created a tag for the treat box.

I added three of the die cut pine boughs to the front of the tag and added the little banner from the take out threat framelits to the front of the tag.  I stamped the for you from this month’s stamp set on the front.  I added a few of the sequins and tied it onto the treat box with some of the braided twine.

Thanks for dropping by today for this month’s hop.  To go to the next blog click on the cute little blue frog below and it will pull up the blog roll.
