As you can see this is a very fun sketch to play with.
Tips & Tricks:
I used the faux ombré technique to create my card today. If you haven’t heard of it Jennifer McGuire shared it on her YouTube channel yesterday. It was a easy way to create the ombré look without a ton of ink blending. This was the perfect technique for this card, because I knew I wanted to use the Tags and Tiding Stamp Set but knew it would need just a little extra.
This was a super simple technique to do all you need to do is heat emboss your image on colored Cardstock. I picked Call Me Clover as my card front. Next once the heat embossing is dry you need to pull out that craft white ink pad that you all have but never use and a sponge or other blending tool. And go to town.
Once I had the card front done I restamped the tags and Tiding Stamp two more times once in tuxedo black ink and once in Call Me Clover ink. I took the tuxedo black image and colored the little ginger bread man in soft suede and lovely lipstick Stampin blends. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the matching die. I added it to a piece of silver foil paper to mimic the look of a baking pan. I then matted that in whisper white and lovely lipstick.
The next image that was stamped on Call me Clover I took the warm wishes sentiment and punched it out with the classic label punch. And added it to the front of the card using mini Dimensionals
To finish off the card I matted the focal image with a double mat in whisper white and lovely lipstick. I think that the call me Clover, lovely lipstick and whisper white color combo is a fun one for Christmas. I also colored my rhinestones with my Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends.
I hope that you play along with us in the next two weeks. If you need any of the products that I’ve used today you can order them in my online store. You will find all the items in the supply list below.
