Hello and welcome to my blog; today’s card is one that I made at the beginning of the month for a friends Birthday. It was her 70th and I wanted something really special for her big day. I could have done a card that was funny or mean but she’s such a sweet person it needed to be very special. She has a love for animals and flowers, so I knew that I wanted to incorporate one of those. I went with the flowers. Here’s a look at my card.
I had the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper but not the stamp set. But I knew that I wanted to use this gorgeous designer series paper. It meet all my requirements for her special card. It had flowers, different shades of pink, and it was striking. So it was a hands down winner.
Since I didn’t have the matching stamp set I had to find one that was just as feminine. I finally found one that would work, and you may just be surprised with just which one worked. But before I share that little tidbit let me share a little closer look at the greeting.
This stamp set has a wonderful mix of sentiments and images that it allows for all types of birthdays. You can do cards for both male and females with this set. Okay okay I will tell you which set it is. I picked the stamp set from last years Occasions Catalog (Spring Winter Catalog) called Picture Perfect Birthday. Here’s a look at the stamp set.
I used one of the Stitched Labels Framelits to place the sentiment on the front of the card. I stamped everything in varies shades of pink.
This is a real easy card to recreate and super fast. And, we all love cards that are super fast to do. I know I do.
And the best part is my friend loved it. She loved all the flowers from the designer series paper. I even stamped the inside of the card in different shades of pink using the hostess stamp set Pressed Flowers. This allowed my floral theme to continue inside the card as well.
I hope that you have enjoyed my post today I will see you tomorrow with another card video.
