Hello and welcome to my blog and YouTube channel today; I am going to share with you 10 alternative projects for this month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit entitled Frights & Delights.  Yesterday, was the Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop, you can see that post here and check out what alternative designs the other hoppers came up with.  Here’s a look at a group shot of my alternative cards.

September Paper Pumpkin Frights & Delight Kit

Before we get into the alternative projects I wanted to share some images of the September kit and what it was intended to create.

Completed Kit as intended

This month’s kit came with enough supplies to create 24 fun treat bags for Halloween.  They are so cute and sweet; I will be lucky if they make it to the door on Halloween Night.  Here’s a look at what all came in this month’s kit.  I used a lot of the supplies you see here along with some additional supplies to make the alternative projects you will see.

10 Cards 1 Kit

Ten cards with one kit is a series that I will be doing from now on with our Paper Pumpkin Kits each month.  I will be sharing these projects monthly on both my YouTube channel and here on my blog.  In the video I will show you how to make half of the cards and showcase the rest.  So lets get started shall we.

We are going to start off with the card I used for the Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog hop yesterday.  You can see that post along with the 3d alternative project created for that post here.  I used the Seaside shore embossing folder for the background I thought turned up right it had a nice spooky feel that went well with the ghost.

My next card is a clean and simple card using just one of the Spooky Die cuts and some fun Halloween colors.  I love how the Lemon Lime Twist Ruffled Ribbon adds to the spooky feel of the card.

My next card I used one of the ghosts and a silver foil boo from the kit along with a 5 1/2″ x 2 1/2 piece of Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper matted on a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock to a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 side folding card base.

For the next card I created this fun Alcohol ink background (using Stampin’ Blends that I came up with and will be showing you how to do in a video tutorial next week) I attached one of the bat die cuts and one of the tags from the kit.. I stamped the moon and the eeeek.  I stamped the eeeek along the bottom of the card to create a anchor on the card.

I stamped the background first using the pumpkin stamp from the kit in Gorgeous Grape on a matching base.  I took some scrap cardstock and attached them to a piece of Whisper white that was the same size as all three piece put together and ran them through the Big Shot with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder.  I then added one of the pumpkin die cuts to the front along with a scrap piece of the Toil & Trouble designer series paper and a mango melody scrap that I created the flag tail banner with and stamped the sentiment on.  I added the eeeek die cut to finish off the card.

One of the first alternative cards that I came up with was this one.  I stamped the background on the Pumpkin Pie cardstock (4 1/4 x 11) with matching ink.  I then stamped the images from the stamp set in matching colors (Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody) for the stems I used a little old olive ink.  I stamped the Spooky, bats, and spiders in Basic Gray ink.  I drew the spider webs they are hanging from with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

For my Cat card i used a piece of whisper white cardstock and punched out the cat silhouette using the Cat punch.  I turned it to the back and cut apart one of the treat bags and added that piece the the back of the cat using tear & tape adhesive.  I then used foam strips and created the shaker window.  I added some of the metallic sequins assortments and some other sequins that came in past Paper Pumpkin kits that I had in my stash.   I mounted it on a piece of Basic Gray cardstock.  The shaker element was added to a Mango Melody Card base (4 1/4 x 11).  I stamped the eeeek in Mango Melody and used a scrap of matching cardstock with the “it’s Halloween” sentiment.  I added a spider done the same way as the previous card.

For the next card I used a piece of whisper white that I embossed using the woodland embossing folder.  I attached it to a basic black mat and attached  it to the Basic Gray card base.  I added one of the tags from the kit along with one of the Spooky die cuts and one of the Bats.  I stamped a few of the bats using the stamp set around the background of the card front.

On one of my last cards I embossed a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock with the Swirls & Curls Embossing folder and used some silver ink to brush over it to give a little shine.  I would have used the shimmer paint but mine is not arrived yet.  I added one of the ghost from the kit and a tag that I stamped the Boo on.  I wanted the tag to look like a headstone.  I added two foil bats to the card.

My last card features the Tuffted dynamic textured impression folder.  I used a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock that had been embossed and attached it to a Gorgeous Grape card base.  I used one of the Pumpkin Die cuts from the set and attached it to a 2″ circle.  I added the eeeek die cut to the card front.  I also added a starburst punch out behind the focal image, along with some Gorgeous Grape mini stripped ribbon and a few leaf punched out from Vellum cardstock.
