Hello and welcome back to the next sketch challenge from the Paper Craft Crew. Last week we had a unexpected delay with Hurricane Florence hitting the coast; so it was decided to postpone the challenge a week.
For this weeks sketch I was feeling very much in the Fall mood and used some of the wonderful Fall products from the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog. I used the beautiful Falling for Leaves Bundle and the wonderfully rustic Country Lane Designer series paper on my card. Here’s a look at this weeks card.
Here’s the sketch that inspired my card for this week. You can click on the sketch image below to visit the Paper Craft Crew page to see what all the other design team members came up with.
I first cut the designer series paper to size. I cut the Blackberry Bliss piece with the tin tile design to 2 1/4″ x 3 1/4″, and the 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ (the Mint Macaron with cotton). The smaller of the two; has a flagged end. I took the larger piece and placed it on a Old Olive cardstock mat (3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″).
On the card base (Mint Macaron 5 1/2 x 8 1/2) the first thing that was done was I stamped the large leaf in Mint Macaron Classic Ink. I then took a piece of Blackberry Bliss card stock 2 1/4 x 3/4 and added it behind the matted designer series paper. I added it to the card base. I then added the smaller piece of designer series paper and one of the detailed leaves die cuts. I added a banner in whisper white with Thankful stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink. I popped this up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added three Faceted Dots on the card front to finish it off.
For the inside of the card I stamped a piece of Whisper White (5 1/4 x 4) with a couple leaves from Falling for Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set, in Mint Macaron classic Ink.
Thanks for dropping bye today. I hope that you enjoy this weeks challenge and what everyone came up with using this weeks sketch. If you would like any of the products that I’ve used today you can pick them up in my online store.
