Hello and welcome to my blog today I hope that you are having a wonderful day. I’m going to share with you a very unique card today. I’m going to show you a See Through Card using the Falling for Leaves Bundle. Here’s a look at my card.
As I mentioned my card uses the Falling for a Leaves Bundle: which is my featured product this week. Each week on my Facebook business page I have a featured product that I share different offers techniques and projects.
You will see these products used a lot coming up in the next few weeks. But for my card today I wanted to do something just a little different then I’ve done in the past and wanted to try a new technique that I saw a few weeks back by Jennifer McGuire. She used die cuts to create the front of her card. So I threw myself into the process the other night and came up with this fun fall card that actually could be used any time.
The process was actually not as hard as I thought it may be. I just cut a lot of each of the Detailed leaves in my three colors; Mint Macaron, Cajun Craze, and Merry Merlot. Once everything was dry and put together I took it to my large paper trimmer (a guillotine style) and trimmed off anything hanging over the card.
When you open the card you can see straight through all the openings hence the name See Through Card. You can really see the effect in the above picture. I added a couple stitched squares to the outside and inside. The outside one holds my greeting and the inside one gives me a place to write a message.
This completed card gives a wow factor when received. This would totally be a card I wouldn’t send to just anyone it would have to be for someone really special.
I hope you like my card today if you need any of the products you’ve seen today I am happy to help you and be your demonstrator. You will find a full list of the products used in the product list below.
