Hello and welcome to this weeks Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This weeks challenge is a fresh coffee themed challenge, so you can have a lot of fun with this one. I decided to use part of my featured product of the week Timeless Tiding; and paired it with Coffee Cafe. This was a fun way to use the Timeless tiding stamp set it made me think outside of the box. Here’s a look at my card.
Here’s a look at this weeks challenge them card. You can visit the Paper Craft Crew website to see what the other designers came up with by clicking on the card below.
As I mentioned I wanted to pair the Timeless Tiding stamp set, which goes along with the Timeless Tiding Project Kit in the Holiday Catalog. I wanted to recreate Starbucks Red Holiday Cup for my card today. I started out with a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock and stamped the holly image from the stamp set in Whisper White Craft ink and heat set it with my heat tool. Once I had it all stamped and dried I cut it out with the Coffee Cups Framelits. Once I had it cut out I colored each one with my white watercolor pencils from our watercolor pencils. I added different tones of white to each image. I added a little more of the white pencil in areas to create a darker tone. After this was done I added a little wink of stella to each one to soften the edges.
I cut a piece of vellum using the coffee cups framelits and used my embossing buddy to prep. I then stamped the sentiment in versamark ink and added gold embossing powder. For the backdrop for the cup I used the Swirled and Curls embossing folder with a piece of whisper white. I matted that on garden green. I added that to my card front which consists of a piece of the Santa’s Workshop Designer Series paper (the stripped one) on a piece of Garden Green. This was all placed on a piece of Gray Granite card base.
I hope that you all take time and play along this week with your challenge.
Thanks for dropping bye today.
