Hello and welcome to this weeks Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge. This week we have a fun sketch for you to play along with. The challenge goes live at 6:30 am eastern time. I chose to create a window card using one of my favorite bundles in the 2018 Annual Catalog. My card today features the Sweet Storybook bundle. It’s just so stinking cute with its little mice and the mushroom. Here’s a look at my card.
Here’s a look at the sketch that inspired this week’s card.
Tips & Tricks:
The first thing I did was cut the window using the die from the Storybook Scene Framelit Dies into my whisper white thick card base. Once that was done I stamped the mushroom in tuxedo black ink. The mice were stamped on another piece of Whisper white using tuxedo black ink and then filled in using the body stamp with crumb cake classic ink. I then ran the mice through the big shot with the matching Framelit. I inked the mushroom top with Lovely Lipstick and added a little Rich Razzleberry along the edge with a sponge dauber. After stamping it I colored in the dots on the top with pineapple Punch Stampin blends. And the stem with petal Pink blends. I glued the mice just at the line of the grass at the mushrooms base.
For the vines on the outside of the window I inked up the stamp in Granny apple green first and took a sponge dauber with Shaded Spruce and added a little shadow around the edge. Once stamped it creates a wonderful two tone effect.
I added my sentiment to a strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock with tuxedo black ink. To tie in the black I added a few of the black faceted dots. I attached the the vines to the card front using a little multipurpose liquid glue.
