Hello and welcome to my blog today. I hope you are doing well. Today I’m going to share with you a card I gave you a sneak peek at a few weeks back in a video. It was in the post and video about using he Spectrum Uninked pads you can see that post here. For this card I used the Spectrum Pad that I inked up with the 2018-2020 In Colors to create an ombré effect. This was a fun card using Bella and Friends and Pretty Kitty Stamp sets. Here’s a look at today’s card.

The ombre is really easy for this card I took the thinking of you stamp set form Rooted in Nature and inked it up using the spectrum pad I had inked.  I stamped it at the top full strength, next I stamped it again, and again and again until I had repeated it four times giving me an ombre of color.    I told you that this was easy; the hardest part of the whole process was filling the uninked pad with my colors.

Once that was done I stamped and colored in Bella and one of the Kittys.  The kitten was colored using the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and the color lifter to soften the edges.  Her ball of yarn was colored with both the light and dark Granny Apple Green Blends.  Bella was colored using the soft suede blends, with just a touch of the bronze.  I enjoy coloring with the blends because with just the two markers it makes the guess work so much easier.  I don’t have to hunt for three colors or more that are the same color family or hue.  I can just blend with the two markers and done.

Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have a wonderful day.

Happy Stampin’

Rick
