Hello and welcome to my blog today, I am out doing the World’s Longest Yard Sale but I have a very elegant Christmas card using the new limited time stamp set Blended Seasons. The card that I am sharing with you today is really clean and simple and very easy to mass produce. We all love cards that are easy to reproduce and mass produce very quickly when it comes to making Christmas cards. Here’s a look at today’s card.
Before I tell you how I created today’s card, I want to share with you a look at the Blended Seasons Stamp Set. This is one of those stamp sets that you can use for every season. You have images for Christmas, Fall, Spring, and Summer. And not to even mention sentiments for all the occasions that we all need and use all year long. I didn’t use them on today’s card but also with this limited time offer there’s also a set of limited time double stitched framelits that are so wonderful.
Plus with this release we got a set of new watercolor pencils. In this set of pencils we got some great colors. Some of the colors you have seen today, but I am going to try and name them all for you. Balmy Blue, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Flirty Flamingo, Garden Green, Grougeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and Night of Navy. With this new set and the original set think of all the possibilities.
I started this card by first taking a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that was cut to 3 1/2 x 5 1/2. On this piece I took the holly stamp from the set and inked it up in versamark. Before stamping it down I used my embossing buddy to prep the area. At that time I stamped it down and sprinkled on copper embossing powder. I heated that up and then stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment in the same way. I added a 1/2″ strip of copper foil behind the stamped piece attaching it with tear & tape. I wanted this to be very secure.
Next I colored the holly in with my Granny apple green and Garden Green Watercolor Pencils. I colored the berries with Cherry Cobbler and the other little berries in Crushed Curry before I activated the pigment with a blender pen. Once the coloring was all done I added a tone of Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the stamped and colored piece so that it would be stable and secure. I didn’t want any sagging what so ever.
To completely finish off my elegant little card I simple added a few of the copper sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment pack. I told you that this was a really easy and quick card to create. Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that I ve inspired you just a little today. I also hope that you will take advantage of this limited time set before it’s gone. The Blended Seasons set isn’t just a limited time its also only while supplies last. So if you are interested in this set I would grab it now.
The great thing about the timing of this release is that you can get the bundle and qualify for a Bonus Day Code. Bonus Days are great because for every $50 you purchase you get one coupon code worth $5 to use in September. Think about how that will add up and what you can save next month.
