Color Your Season Bundle:
In my card today I’m using some new products that will be releasing August 1st and will be a limited time release. The Color Your Seasons bundle will be while supplies last during this time. So if this is a set that you want you will need to get it before it’s gone. I will be sharing a few other projects with this bundle coming up in the next few weeks.
The Color Your Season Bundle consists of the Blended Seasons Stamp Set. The exclusive 10 piece stamp set will be available in both Wood mount and Clear Mount. This wonderful stamp set features images for every season. Also in the bundle are the new Stitched Season Framelits; which features a coordinating stitched die that includes stitching on both the positive and negative images. This set of exclusive dies with the double stitching are a first for Stampin’ Up!®.
I created a plaid pattern on my card today by using sponge daubers, post it tape and my ink pads. I used all four inks listed in the challenge card. I started out with my flirty flamingo classic ink pad and worked my way to one side alternating colors and the size of the strips. I also did them where there would be a graduation of color from one end to the other. Once that was completed I repeated the same steps going the other direction. Then I flipped the card and created the strips on the other side to create the plaid pattern.
Once all the plaid was created I added it to a mat (4 1/8 x 5 3/8″) that was cut 1/8″ larger than the card front ( 4 x 5 1/4), and adhered it all to the card base made from a piece of Whisper White thick (4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2). I then stamped my greeting onto the smallest double stitched framelits from the die set and colored in my image with the Granny Apple Green stampin’ blends and just a touch of the dark pineapple punch blend. I then attached this to a slightly larger die cut and popped them both up using dimensionals. I added a few clear sequins to finish off the card.
Thanks for dropping by today, I hope that you have enjoyed the project for this week’s design challenge. You can order all the supplies except the blended Seasons Stamp set and the matching framelits until August 1.
