Hello and welcome to my blog; today is the last Thursday of the month and that means it’s time for the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop.  For this hop each person shares with you some alternative projects using that’s months Paper Pumpkin.  This month’s kit was filled with a bright lights and big city feel.  You can’t have it any other way when the kit is called Broadway Star, and the kit coordinates with the Broadway Bound Suite in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  Here’s a look at my two projects.

Original Projects:

The original projects for this month’s kit was so cute and fun; I wanted to share with you a little look at them.

Alternative Projects:

I created an alternative card and a flip top treat box for my alternative projects this month.  I actually used one of the black and white card bases for both projects.  I cut a piece of the card and added it to a piece of Lemon Lime Twist and that was added to a Lovely Lipstick card base.  I used one of the banners from the kit and added it to the card front that I came up with.  I used one of the cakes from the kit and put it on the center of the banner.  I stamped “it’s your day” in Lovely Lipstick on the card front.

For my 3d project this month I came up with a tall flip top box.  I used a piece of lemon lime twist cardstock and scored it using the simply score and added the other half of the card that I used above as the card front to create the panels for the box.  I used some scraps of Lovely Lipstick cardstock and created a few mats.  The finish size of the box was 3 7/8″ x 2 1/8″ x 7/8″.
