Hello and welcome to this week’s Paper Craft Crew weekly sketch challenge. This week we have a fun sketch for you to play along with. This week I decided to give you a little sneak peek of some upcoming products from the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Annual catalog that will bring going live very soon. Today I’m going to share with you one of the must have stamp sets in this catalog. I am going to share with you a card I create using the Nature’s Poem Suite. I adore everything in this suite especially the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set and die bundle. Here’s a look at my card today.

Here’s a look at this weeks challenge card.

As I said I just love everything about this suite of products.  It was that I had to have, because when I saw it, I admittedly thought of Lovely As A Tree.  Then I found out that it was designed to coordinate with Lovely As a Tree, which made it that much more perfect.

Do the Flick & Snap:

I started out my stamping one of the tree images in Shaded Spruce Classic Ink (NEW Color) and cut it out using the matching Nature’s Root Framelit Dies.  Next I used a little versamark and stamped the tree trunk and then heat embossed it with Copper Embossing powder.  Before I moved any further it was time to work on my base pieces.  I took a piece of whisper white and my Poppy Parade (Returning color), Petal Pink (NEW color) and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Markers and flicked the color onto it.  This is how I created the splatter background as you see on the sketch.

The stamps in the Rooted in Nature has a detailed images and some wonderful sentiments.  With both the sentiments and images this makes the stamp set a one stop shop.

To finish off the presentation for this card I stamped the ring image in shaded spruce on the the flap of the envelope.

You can play along with us this week by clicking on the Sketch above of by clicking here and check out what everyone has done for you today.

Not much longer for you to wait, if you don’t want to wait to get the new items it’s a great time to join my team of Kinsmon Crafters.

Happy Stampin’

Rick
