Today, I am going to share with you my top ten must have stamp sets from the retiring list.  We all hate to say goodbye to our favorite sets but sometimes even when it’s hard we have to.  This hard time makes it easy to find new favorites when the new catalog comes out in June.  I love a lot of the stamp sets in both the Occasions Catalog and the 2017 Annual catalog.  With the retirement list I am losing 72 stamp sets from my collection, some of these are so hard to say good bye to that I wanted to share with you some of my favorites, and what I feel are must have sets to add to your stash before they are gone.  You can click on the images and be taken to the blog post that coordinates with the stamp set listed.  To grab that last chance stamp set you can click on the list at the bottom of the page.  So lets jump in shall we.

10.  Flirty Flowers Stamp Set (Clear or Wood Mount)

So I am starting out with a set that I just adore and more then likely will be hiding back in my stash.  One of the reasons is simply just because how the stamp set features various flowers that will dazzle you in both solid and outlined patterns.  With both types of images this stamp set will allow you to use a solid inked impression or try various coloring techniques for an even more vibrant effect.  This will allow you to create a wide variety of cards with just one set.  As much as I love the bold graphic flowers and the wonderful line art images I love the beautiful scripty font just as much.  With all that said I think it’s clear why this stamp set made my top 10 must have list.

Flirty Flowers, Clear Block E, Watercolor Smooching, Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine, Basic Black Archival Ink, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Up!, Watercolor Technique, Stampin’ Rhinestones, Stampin; Spritzer, #rickadkins, #rckinsmonstudio

9.  Sweet Little Something Photopolymer Stamp Set

Bunny card, Easter Card, Sweet Little Something Stamp Set, Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper, Shimmer, Spring, Springtime card, Stamparatus, Stampin’ Up!, 2018 Occasions Catalog, Sale-a-bration, Sale-a-bration, Quick and Easy Card, how to create a bunny card

I am so very sad to see this cute little velveteen bunny stamp set retiring.  I honestly don’t feel it got as much justice as he deserved.  The Sweet Little Something stamp set features this cute little bunny that you will want to cuddle with.  The stamp set is done in the same style as Baby Bear (which isn’t retiring).  The Sweet Little Stamp Set is a triple step stamp that once all stamped out give you a realistic plush bunny that anyone will just get a smile from when they open up this card.  I can tell you this was one that I had to have when I first got to look at the Occasions catalog I knew that I had to have it.  I can’t say that about a lot of stamp sets but this was one that I couldn’t live with out.  I will differently be keeping him because I love it so much and haven’t gotten to use it enough yet.

8.  Confetti Celebration Clear or Wood Mount Stamp Set

You want to wish people you love a happy birthday, but sometimes it’s hard to choose the stamp set that best fits their personality.  Problem solved!  This stamp set has unique fonts and sentiments for customized cards to celebrate each special day.  This packed full of wonderful image stamp set is what makes it a must have!

7.  Greet Big Greetings (Photopolymer Stamp Set)

When you’ve got something good to say, sometimes you want to say it BIG!  If that is the case then these are the stamps for you to kindly and gently shout all the happy things you’ve been holding inside.  This stamp set will let you create a large impact with very little effort.

6.  Stylized Birthday Wood Mount Stamp

There are people in our lives that words can’t describe.  The best way to wish them a happy birthday isn’t with flash and bang, but with a simple and classic wish.  But don’t be fooled by its simplicity, this classic has flair.  This is differently a stamp with flair, I love the font because it gives a handwritten look without a lot of work.

Okay I am starting to notice a trend.  I am a lazy stamper, because I like big results without a lot of work.

5.  Cool Treats Photopolymer stamp set

Rick's May 2017 Card Kits, Cool Treat Stamp Set, Tasty Treat DSP, Stitched Shape Framelits, Layering Circle Framelits, Stampin' Up!, #rickadkins, #rckinsmonstudio

You’re pretty cool, but this stamp set is just a little bit cooler.  Try not to eat these delicious-looking stamps, even though you may be tempted.  This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set.  Combine individual stamps to create the final image you want in the colors you want.  This stamp set made the list for two reasons I love the imagery of the ice creams, and it just makes you have a good laugh inside because it makes you feel good.   The second reason I love this stamp set is more sentimental It was the stamp set I got at my first OnStage event.  So chances are this and the matching framelits will be staying in my collection.  I don’t keep a lot of retired things but this is differently one that I have to keep.

4.  Definitely Dahlia Background Stamp (clear and wood mount)

Delightful Dahlia, Daisy Delight Photopolymer Stamp Set, Daisy Punch, Daisy Delight bundle, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, 2017 Incolor Powder Pink, Stampin’ Up!, #rickadkins, #rckinsmonstudio

I am so sad to see Definitely Dahlia background stamp going.  It’s a good one for the bold floral background on a card front, or even the envelope as you can see above.  Definitely Dahlia allows you to make a big statement with the big flower.  This large stamp makes a dramatic focal point, or you can combine several flowers for a enormous bouquet.  This is definitely is one you want to add to your list.

3.  Bloomin’ Love Photopolymer Stamp Set

151,000,000,000. That’s about how many valentine cards are exchanged each year.  Yours will stand out when you make them yourself.  This set has the right mix of images and sentiments for all the people in your life, from family and friends to your one-and-only.  This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set. Combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want.  This also coordinates with the Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlits dies also retiring.

2. Number of Years Photopolymer Stamp Set

Numbers of Years, Detailed Floral Thinlits, Large Numbers Framelits, Powder Pink Very Vanilla, 1/2 Powder Pink Woven Ribbon, Gatefold card, Anniversary, Stampin' Up!, #rickadkins, #rckinsmonstudio

BIG occasions need BIG numbers!  Choose an event—birthday, anniversary, new school year—and add a number for instant personalization.  Buy it once, use it often.  Great on its own or combined with images from other sets for different looks.  This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set. Combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want.  This is another of the stamp sets and framelits that I have that I will be keeping and was just in shock when I saw it on the retirement list.  To me this is a must have, and we have nothing else in the catalog coming up like it.  I am sure it was a hard decision to make but sadly it will be leaving.
