“Isn’t it the Truth: Isn’t it the Truth!” as the Cowardly Lion would say. Now that I have given you that visual and bit of useless piece of trivia, lets talk a little abut today’s card. Today I am featuring the True Gentleman Suite from the Occasions Catalog. I think that I have used almost all the products in this suite on today’s card. This is one of my favorite masculine suites that we have had in the last few years. This suite could be used for other things besides just for men if you just think a little outside the box. Here’s a look at today’s card.
This is a quick and easy card, and didn’t take a lot of work to do. That’s because with the coordination in the products that Stampin’ Up! creates it makes it super easy to put the products together without all the fuss and muss.
I started out with the Designer series paper cut at 3 3/4 x 5. That was matted to a piece of Tranquil Tide Cardstock that was cut at 5 1/4 x 4. I cut a piece of Vellum cardstock to 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 and attached this over where I was going to put the sentiment. I added a little of the Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon across the vellum and around the mat. I stamped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock the sentiment from the stamp set, and then punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch. I added a couple stampin’ dimensionals at the top and bottom points and placed it over the ribbon.
This is a great set for any of the gentlemen in your life. With the Truly Tailored Stamp Set you will mentally roll out the three-piece suit and bow tie, and get crafting. The Truly Tailored Stamp Set features some very dapper images great for any guy you know. It has some of the best sentiments for any masculine card that you will ever need. The sentiments are features some fun fonts and sayings, that can be used in some very fun ways. Here’s a look at the stamp set.
Dress it All the Way Up:
Well, you all know that i have to dress up the envelope as well as the card and make them match. I took a piece of the matching Designer Series Paper and cut it to just a little larger than the envelope flap. I added it to the flap with some Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue. After that I trimmed around the edge of the flap. I picked piece that had the different color glasses on it so that it would all tie in. To finish off the card I added three of the True Gentleman Buttons in a triangle pattern. When you place these added elements to your card the visual art rule is that you place items in a triangle pattern and use odd numbers of elements. This makes more visual interest in and on your projects. It also keeps the cards from looking stagnate.
Sadly the stamp set, designer series paper, and ribbon are all on the retirement list. So you if you want any of the items on my card you need to get them now. Once items go on the retirement list they are only as supplies last. The stamp sets are guaranteed to still be made until May 7th, 2018.
