Today I am going to share with you not one but three cards I did using one of my must have stamp sets from the Retiring List. Can any of you guess which stamp set that is? I know I know I have a lot of favorites. So for this to make my top 10 list it’s a good one. If you guessed Flirty Flowers you would be correct. When I created this card it wasn’t quite spring weather yet, it was still a little cold but I was so wanting to see some flowers. Here’s the cards that I created just for this stamp set.

I wanted to use the silhouette images from the set because I knew I was going to do the blended background. As I said this is a good set because it features both silhouette and line art imagery. The line art imagery was designed so that you can use your favorite color media and technique. Here’s a look at the stamp set.

Blended Background:

I started out by adding post it tape across the center of the upper part and lower parts of the cards. Once I had them taped down I took my blends and started at the top and went down. Then I blended up with the second color. I started with the dark colors first then moved to the lightest colors in the middle. I will share a video of this technique from Stampin’ Up! a little later.

This was the first card that I did. I used Bermuda bay, daffodils delight and old olive blends on this card.

The second card I used just old olive and daffodil delight to blend the area.

On the last card I used just Bermuda bay and pool party blends.

Once I had the background blended I stamped the soild images in basic black archival ink (which is also retiring sadly). These are extremely easy cards to make.

Thanks for joking me today. Remember that this set is on the retirement list so it’s only available while supplies last. Make sure you want to add this to your order.
