Today, I am going to share with you a card I made using one of our Easter sets. I am using the Hello Easter stamp set which is the set I just featured in my latest Online Class. I wanted to share with everyone something you could do with this Easter set other than making just cards for the Easter Holiday. Here’s a look at today’s card.

Tips & Tricks:

I started out creating this card with stamping the egg and bunny on the same piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Once I had the images stamped the way I wanted them I used the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies to cut the egg out. The oval is not exactly a perfect fit but you can come back with your paper snips and trim the white away. Once that was done; I had to fussy cut the bunny (which was stamped in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink) out. It was actually a very easy image to cut it out, so don’t be afraid to take those snips and go to town.Hello Easter stamp set, layering ovals Framelits, duet banner punch, fresh florals designer series paper stack, bunny rabbit, chocolate bunny, Spring, spring time, Stampin’ Up!, #rickadkins, #rckinsmonstudio

My card base is a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. I added a Whisper White mat cut to 4 x 5 1/4, and a piece of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper in Lemon Lime Twist cut at 3 3/4 x 5. I picked this paper because it had such pretty floral imagery and I felt was perfect for a Spring Card. I layered a piece of Whisper White Cardstock that I cut just big enough to hold the egg, and I matted it with a piece of Peekaboo Peach Cardstock cut just 1/4″ bigger then the whisper white piece. I placed the egg in the center of this rectangle with a couple Stampin’ dimensionals, I then placed the bunny on the egg with another dimensional. I stamped the “Hello Spring” sentiment on a scrap of Peekaboo Peach and ounces it out with the duet banner punch. I then added it to the egg with a little snail.

Finishing Touches:

To finish off the card I added a little Peekaboo Peach Baker’s Twine at the top. I used about 24″ or so just enough to run on the inside of the card and tie a bow on the outside. I also added a few of the tutti-Frutti adhesive backed sequins to add a little sparkle to the card.

In closing I want you to think about stamps that you think are strictly a holiday set in a different way buy just changing the designer series paper and colors you use.
