Today, I am going to share with you a thank you card that I created a few weeks ago. It’s been hard to get everything out that I have wanted to share, since I fell down the stairs a week ago. My back is felling better, but I am still hurting a little; we think that I have a bruised or cracked rib. But things are getting better, its been hard working the day job and coming home hurting and trying to go to the craft room to create. I’m trying to just take it one day at time, so I wanted to say thank you for being patient with the missing posts and videos. Things should be getting back to normal very very soon. So I wanted to share with you my Bubble Over thank you card. Here’s a look at my card that I am going to share today.
Tips & Tricks:
Today’s card features the Bubble Over Photopolymer Bundle from the 2018 Occasions Catalog and the Bubbles &
Fizz Designer Series Paper which is a level one Sale-a-bration item this year. Here’s a look at the great patterns in the paper. The colors in the paper just lets all the fun patterns “pop” off the page with this funky paper! As always when I use designer series paper, I pull the colors for my cards from that paper. This is a great tip to make your card making and designing easier! Since Stampin’ Up!® is known for their color coordination it makes it super easy to make sure that you have all the right products to create projects that look fabulous. So this was my first step: Picking out the colors.
Once I figured out what colors I was going to use; I pulled out some Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight cardstock for the basics for the cards. By basics I mean the cardbase and the first mat. I used the Bermuda Bay as the card base. It was cut at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. The Daffodil Delight cardstock was cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″. So to top the mat I used the Lemon Lime Twist designer series paper with the bubbles on it. Which these colors all pair great together, and add a fun playful feel to the card.
I wanted to play up the bubbles from the designer series paper so I used the Stitched shape framelits and cut the next to the largest stitched circle die in whisper white, along with the little die cut bubbles from the Bottles & Bubbles framelits dies (which by the way you can purchase the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits and the Bubble Over Stamp Set as a Cost Saving Bundle.) While we are talking about the bundle and stamp set lets look at the stamp set.
I stamped the smaller of the bottle images from the stamp set in Daffodil Delight classic ink on Whisper White Cardstock and cut it out using the matching framelit. Next, I stamped the label image in Lemon Lime Twist Classic Ink, and stamped the thank you from the set in Basic Black archival ink. I cut it out with the matching die and popped it up on a dimensional. I then added one of the straws that I cut out and added it to the back of the bottle with a little snail. This was attached to the stitched circle that was attached to the card front. I added the small bubbles that I mentioned earlier some are on glue dots and others are on mini stampin’ dimensionals.
This really finished off the card I kept it really simple and easy. This is a card that can be easily recreated. If you would like any of the supplies I’ve talked about today you can pick them up in my online store 24/7 by clicking here. You can find a full list of the products that I used below.
