Welcome to this weeks Sale-a-bration Sunday post! This week I am featuring both the Party Panda Stamp Set and the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper in a sweet card that could go for Valentine’s Day or just to tell someone that you Love them. This card is just packed filled with hearts everywhere. Here’s a look at today’s card.
This card is a super quick and easy card that can be reproduced easily, because it only has a few supplies. As i said today’s card features the Party Panda Stamp Set (which is one of my favorite stamp sets in the Sale-a-bration brochure) and the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper. The designer series paper features some great patterns and some fun images. It coordinates with the Bubbles Over Stamp set and Bottles & Bubbles framelits which can be purchased in a cost saving bundle.
Tips & Tricks:
The first thing I did was cut my designer series paper down to 3 3/4″ x 5″. Once I had it cut to size I placed it in my Big Shot and ran it through with the largest heart from the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies to cut out the Heart. This opening will be my peek through, so you do have to make sure that it will line up with were you are going to stamp the image. It can not be to high or to low; I try to go just about center.
Once I have it cut out I lay the designer series paper on my card base and then lightly trace the heart. I remove the the designer series paper and I have my guide to stamp the panda in the perfect spot.
At this point I stamped the sweetest looking little Panda with the envelope (in the center of the heart I traced) in Basic Gray Archival Stampin’ Ink. After that i stamped the “Love You” in Real Red Classic Ink right above the Panda’s head. Next I colored in the little heart on the envelope with my Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker.
Once the stamping was done I replaced the designer series paper with the heart cut out with a little snail adhesive on my Thick Whisper White card base cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″. This is were you have to be really careful when you line the designer series paper back up over the panda. You have to be careful that you have everything lined up on the edges but also the image that will be peeking through has to be lined up just right.
To Finish off the card i added some of the Tutti-Frutti Adhesive backed sequins to the card front. See super simple to recreate.
I bet you are wondering what did with the heart die cut that was removed from the center! Well, you have two choices either use it on another card or do what I did and place it inside the card for a little extra interest on the inside. This just didn’t add a little interest to the card but it added a little pop of color as well. I placed the heart in the center where I have room to write a message around the heart.
