Thanks for dropping by today for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge. My card for this weeks sketch didn’t end up as I had originally thought it would. In my mind I saw a card using the Timeless texture stamp set but ended up going in a completely different direction which is often times the case when I do sketches. I think that they are going to be one thing but they end up totally different than what I though would happen. For my card I ended up using the More Than Chocolate Stamp Set from the Annual Catalog. It’s one of those sets that are overlooked in the catalog, but is a great builder set. Besides that I don’t know about you but if I put chocolate in one hand and stamps in the other, all you’d want to do is clap, right? Which means since this is a stamp set and has chocolate images makes this one sweet set. Here’s a look at my card today.
Here’s the Sketch for this weeks challenge.
The More Than Chocolate Stamp Set can be stamped together and make a sweet little box of chocolates like in my card today, or you could see what else you can build with the various little accent stamps. I can see them used as background texture among more. I stamped my Chocolate in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink and accented them using Powder Pink Classic Ink. I love the combination of brown and pinks, they just naturally go together. In painting browns are considered Earth Reds, so since Pinks are Red plus white you can see how they are in the same color family and how they would go naturally together. I cut the heart box of chocolate out using the Sweet and Sassy Framelits to add to the center of the heart that was created by the Sweetheart Texture Impression Embossing Folder. I loved this embossing folder when I first saw it but this was the first time I got around to using it, and sadly I don’t know why. It adds such wonderful texture to the card.
I keep the banner in the sketch but just changed the color. This allowed me a place to add a sentiment. I used the new silver baker’s twine in the Occasions catalog for the bow to finish off my card. If you would like to play along with us this week we would love to have you.
