With it turning colder outside and Christmas is just around the corner.  I wanted to create a card that would be an easy Christmas card and give the feel of the cool air nipping your nose for this weeks Paper Craft Crew challenge.  So I picked the Snowflakes Sentiments stamp set and created a simple card.  Here’s a look at this weeks card.

Snowflake Sentiments Stamp Set, Snowflake Sentiments Bundle, Whisper White Cardstock, Soft Sky Cardstock, Whisper White Thick Cardstock, Vellum Cardstock, Versamark, Heat Tool, Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder, Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Silver 1/8” Ribbon, Banner Triple Punch, Iridescent Sequins, Metallics Sequins, Snowflake Card, Season’s Greetings, Stampin’ Up!, #rickadkins, #rckinsmostudio

Here’s a look at this weeks’ Challenge Card.

Tips & Tricks:

I first dry embossed the card front with the Winter Wonder Textured Impression Embossing folder.  Next I stamped the large snowflake from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set in versamark ink and heat embossed it with Silver Embossing powder.  For the sentiment I stamped on a piece of vellum cardstock with the versamark and the Season’s Greetings image and heat embossed it also in Silver Embossing powder.

To finish off the banner I used the banner triple punch and created a flagged end on one side.  I attached this to the card front over the silver ribbon using Tear & Tape.  Tear & Tape is the best to use behind vellum because it almost completely  disappears.  I placed the first white layer on a piece of Soft Sky Cardstock cut just a 1/8″ larger.  I only wanted the very hint on the blue on the card.  I placed the entire card front on (using Stampin’ Dimensionals to rise the card up a little) a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  To finish off the inside of the card I would just stamp one of the inside sentiments from the same Snowflake Sentiments stamp set.

I hope you have enjoyed my quick and easy card today.  I hope that you take time to play along with us at the Paper Craft Crew this week.  If you would like to play along or see what the other Design Team Members created you can click on the challenge image and it will take you directly to this weeks’ challenge page.
