Last night I attended the downline meeting that I go to each month.  My upline doesn’t hold a monthly meeting so I attend my friend Thelma’s meeting each month.  Since the holiday season is so busy we have our Christmas party early in October.  So last night was the night and after the events of my mother’s passing last week it was a much needed night of stamping and fun.  Each year we create a project that features Stampin’ Up! products or products that are handmade by you.  This year I took a Advent Calendar were I created 25 2 x 1/2 x 2 boxes and decorated it with the Be Merry Designer series paper (which is part of the Designer Series Paper Buy 3 get one Free sale  going on this month).  Here’s my Calendar.

Be Merry Designer Series Paper, Be Merry Paper Stack, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Treat Bag Thinlits, Big Shot, Advent Calendar, 3d project, Gift Boxes, Christmas Project, Stampin' Up!, #rickadkins, #rckinsmonstudio

I used the Be Merry Designer Series paper to decorate the front of the Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Thick Whisper White Boxes (which these three color cardstocks come in the Be Merry Cardstock Pack to make creating easier) the Bottom part of the advent tree was created with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack (also part of the sale) and some Early Espresso Cardstock.

I cut the Designer Series paper to fit the top of the boxes since they would be facing out leaving a small boarder around the edge.  To open each box there’s a little finger hole in the front.  They were all attached together with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  The star for the top of the box was created using a scrap piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock and the Star from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies.  I cut two out and glued them together at the top.  I added a score line at the bottom to attach it to the top of the box tree.

This was not as hard as I thought, I will say make sure when you are attaching them all together to lay it down on a flat surfase to make sure they are all lined up correcly and straight.

A Few Photos of the Night

Dirty Santa Gifts:

It wouldn’t be a fun evening if there was not one picture of me being silly.  So I had to take one of the gift packing ornaments and wear it as a Indian Brave would.
