Well hello, I’ve missed talking to each of you last week but I spent the week getting things ready for Rocket City Stampers Santa’s Workshop that happened this past Saturday. Myself and four other demonstrators (all members of Phyllis Shepherds downline) get together each year and hold a Christmas Workshop for both customers and demonstrators. The design team consists of myself, Thelma Collins, Kathi Jenkins, Charity Write & Jane Stull. We all posed for a little photo before we kicked the event off with a day filled with stamping, and fun. This year we held it on the University of Alabama Huntsville Campus, and had a great time!
We had a great time Saturday! We taught the attendees how to create 8 different giftable ideas which I will share with you all later. Here’s a few pictures of the event.
Here are a few of the ladies that came showing off their pretty smiles and how much fun they are having!
Each of us took a table and taught a project and would move to the next table as each instructor finished. Charity is pictured above teaching her incredible keepsake mini scrapbook album with a place for a hidden gift card. It was so cute everyone just loved it. Charity also taught each attendee with her project how to use the Tear & Tape (which each person received).
Jane taught this really unique fancy fold card with one sheet of Designer Series Paper. It was like a double gate card but I am not sure on the exact name now, the day was such a blur with all the stamping and laughing.
Here Kathi is teaching her table how to create a home decor piece on a Canvas. It was so much fun to do that everyone were all smiles and loved it all day! They got to learn how to transfer the images and color them using our blender pens.
Thelma designed a fun Christmas Count down Calendar using the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper Stack and the new Stitched Felt Embellishments (which each person got a sampling of both the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper & the Felt Embellishments in their goodie bag).
Here I am standing by my up-line Mary teaching my twisted easel box card. You will see a video of how to make my project latter in the week. I love my project for the event because you can create it with one sheet or cardstock or scraps from your scrap bin. I will share those samples with you also.
I hope that you have a wonderful day and that you will plan on attending this event next year. We are actually looking at doing it earlier in the year so be on the look out for this fun wonderful event. If you are demonstrator you can attend the demonstrator only retreat in March. Last year we themed that event around Birthdays and taught the demonstrators in attendance three separate class models that they could go back and teach. This year we have lined up one of the top demonstrators in Stampin’ Up! lined up to come and do a business talk. This will be an event that you will not want to miss out on, so be on the look out for all that information coming very soon.
