Hello and welcome to my second post of the day. I wanted to take a little more time today and share my post for this weeks Global Design Project’s weekly challenge. Their challenge this week is a CASE the designer Challenge, and the designer being CASED just happens to be one of my favorite people in the Stampin’ Up! world, Brian King. So I differently wanted to play along this week. You will never meet a person more funny and genuine as Brian. I don’t think he has ever met a stranger, he will just talk and talk and make you laugh so hard that you may just pee your pants. So be aware if you meet him or attend one of his events that this may happen. For those of you that don’t know what CASE means it’s Copy And Selectively Edit or Copy and Share Everything. Here’s a look at my card for this weeks challenge.
Here’s the Challenge Card
Tips & Tricks:
For my card I CASEd his design but changed up the colors, stamp set, and Designer Series Paper. I had to have Designer Series Paper on my card because Brian loves to use it. The paper that I chose use the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper. I picked the pattern with the Powder Pink background with the little white flowers. This pack of paper is one of the ones that is part of the Designer Series Paper Sale going on this month, you can purchase any 3 of the selected papers and get a fourth FREE. I am sure that Brian has stocked up on his favorites with this promotion, as I am planning on doing very very soon. You can find more details about the Designer Series Paper sale here.
I have challenged myself this year to use more Designer Series Paper on my projects. So this challenge worked out at the right time. My piece of this gorgeous paper was matted on a 1/8″ boarder of Basic Black Cardstock and I repeated that same things as Brian did on the sentiment, and heart. The sentiment and heart both came form the Ribbon Of Courage stamp set. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink to mirror Brian’s. And the heart was done in Powder Pink and then cut out using the heart from the Support Ribbon Framelits the black heart was cut out using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits.
