Today is the big day that we all have been waiting for. Today is the day that the Holiday Catalog officially releases and everyone can start ordering from it. Today is also the 1st day of September and that means it’s time for this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop. Out theme this month is the New Holiday Catalog, and it is chalked full of wonderful products and new stamp sets. There are tons and tons of cost saving bundles in the catalog, and one of those bundles features the new Painted Harvest Stamp Set. Which is the stamp set that I am featuring on today’s card. I actually shared how to create this card on my weekly Mini Facebook Class on my business Facebook page. I didn’t create a card for the Fall season I used the stamp set to create a Halloween Card. Here’s a look at my card for today.
This is a real easy card to do, it was inspired by a fellow demonstrator, she took the stamp set and made a Christmas Wreath with it. So I thought it would make a great Halloween Wreath. The actually stamp set is intended to create Sunflowers with a watercolor look. Here’s a look at the stamp set.
This stamp set is bundled with the new Leaf punch and together they are a wonderful combination. I created another card with the bundle at the beginning of July you can see that card by clicking here.
It makes a great wreath, and by changing up the colors that you use it can be used for different holidays. Since I am a big Halloween person I went with a Halloween Card. I stamped the sunflowers stamps in Crushed curry Classic ink and Cajun Craze Classic Ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, and cut it out using the layering circle dies. I layered it up on a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock in the next circle die in the set. I raised the focal image up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The cardfront is a piece of pumpkin pie with a piece of the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper cut at 3 3/4 x 5. I actually changed the mat up depending on which designer series paper I used.
The bow out of the Baby Bear Stamp Set was used for the bows on the wreaths. I punched it out using the Holly Builder Punch, which coordinates perfectly. I love the new Halloween Designer Series Paper, Spooky Night. It features some great patterns, from witches hats, moons, cats, and more.
