Hello stampers crafters and friends! How important are greetings on your cards and projects? Well on mine I treat them very important. Each little greeting and element has to be perfect and tie in to the overall theme of the card. But, sometimes I want to let the greeting be the focal image of the card instead of the designer series paper, stamped image or some other element that was created. The Great Big Greetings photopolymer stamp set is one of those sets. It lets you say it “BIG” when you have something to important to say. Yet it let’s you say it kindly and gently without having to shout. My card today features the Great Big Greetings stamp set and some of the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper both form the 2017 Annual Catalog. Here’s a look at today’s card.
Tips & Tricks:
This is a really quick and easy card to put together, and with the Great Big Birthday Stamp set it makes for a dramatic opening once they tear open the envelope. The sentiment was stamped on Early Espresso Cardstock (3 3/4 x 5) after in versamark ink after I ran the embossing buddy across it. Once that was done I used the White Stampin’ embossing powder and heat set it with the heat tool. I set that aside to cool and cut out the coffee cup from the Coffee Cafe Designer Series paper using the matching framelit from the Coffee Cup Framelit dies. I cut a strip of the designer series paper (the one with the polka dots) to 3/4″ x 3 3/4 to go on the front. I stamped the happy birthday in the set on a very tiny piece of whisper white cardstock and created a banner. This was just a little scrap piece that I had laying around. At that point I placed the designer series paper at the bottom of the early espresso piece with snail adhesive and attached it to the Soft Sky mat (4 x 5 1/4). This was all attached to the Crumb Cake base (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4). To finish off the card I put regular size stampin’ dimensionals behind the coffee cup and attached the banner to it just on the edge of the dimensionals. I added three of the mini stampin’ dimensionals behind the banner so that it all would be the same height, and attached to the card. That was all I had to do to the card to finish it off.
