Good morning stampers crafters and friends and welcome to this month’s A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop where we will be sharing with you some alternative projects for the July 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit entitled Positively Picturesque. I know that the other talented hoppers have came up with some great projects for you this month so make sure you hop all the way through to get some great ideas. Here’s a look at my projects for this month’s hop.
This month I came up with a card and a cute little gift bag for you using some of the products that came in this month’s kit and a few additional products. If you would like to see my video and post about this month’s kit and projects you can do so by clicking here. This week I have only featured projects created using this month’s kit. Lets get a closer look at my alternative card for this month shall we.
For my card this month I used the Soft Sky card base (5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4) that came in our kit this month. I took a piece of Whisper white cardstock and mirrored the Die cut panel that came in our kit. I then took a piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock and placed behind the whisper white cardstock. I then took the circle that I cut out and used the next largest Stitched shapes circle and cut out a whisper white circle from that piece. I created the leaves with a stitched shape circle cut from Lemon Lime twist cardstock and placed them behind the daisy that was created using the lucrative Daisy Punch. I stamped the Thanks from this month’s kit on the front of the whisper white piece in Soft Sky and You’re the Best going up both sides of the card base. These stamps came from the this months stamp set.
My cute little gift bag was created using the Powder Pink Card base and the prestamped tulip panel from the kit, along with the little banner. I added the Powder Pink washi tape along the bottom edge of the tulip panel and then matted it on a piece of Lemon Lime twist cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on the banner and created a flagged end and popped it up using mini dimensionals (and if you have been hiding under a rock we now carry these little gems in the annual catalog). The mini dimensionals are great to pop up little banners. I put everything together using fast fuse and secured it close with some Lemon Lime Twist Finely Woven ribbon.
