Hello stampers, crafters, and friends I hope that you are having a good day. Today, I am sharing with you my card for this weeks Paper Craft Crews Design Challenge. This weeks challenge is a color challenge. And there are some great hues that have been picked for this challenge, but before we get in to those here’s a look at my card.
Here is a look at the challenge theme for this weeks challenge.
I picked three of the colors from the list of colors in the challenge image above. I used three of the Stampin’ Up! colors for this. I picked Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime twist, and Tranquil Tide.
I stamped the flowers in Lemon Lime Twist and Tempting Turquoise, on the piece in the kit that had the die cut circle on it. Actually if you look close the outside edge of the circle is actually stitched around it. That detail is just hard to see in the photographs. I stained the wood mountain embellishment in the kit with a Tranquil Tide Reinker and a Lemon Lime Twist reinker. You can see how I stained them in the video below.
This technique is a great way to add color to the wood element and to make an impact.
