How many people love Tulips? I do! During the end of winter and the first tulips pop through the ground I know that Spring is on it’s way. Tulips have always made me think of spring and bright cheerful colors. For today’s card I am using the hostess set Tranquil Tulips for this reason. You can only get this stamp set by either hosting a party or by placing an order with sales (before taxes and shipping) of $150 or more. This set is a host/hostess only stamp set, and let me just say thins there are some great sets in that section this year. I also used the Lots of Love stamp set found on page 89 of the catalog for the sentiment on my card today. Here’s a look at my card.
Sizes & Dimensions:

- Tangerine Tango Cardstock 5 1/4 x 4
- Whisper White Cardstock 3 3/4 x 5

- 28″ or so of Peekaboo Peach Baker’s Twine
Tips & Tricks:
The tranquil tulip stamp set is a two step stamp set that is extremely easy to do. I have found that some of the two step stamp sets were not very easy to do, but this one is very easy and lines up nicely. I was very happy with the outcome. This stamp set produces some wonderful realistic watercolor tulips that are to die for.
To create the shadows at the bottom of the leaves you will need a baby wipe to wipe off the ink at the top of the leaves. You will ink the them up like normal and remove the excess ink with the baby wipe. Then just stamp it as normal. This will create a second layer of ink which will be just a shade darker and give the illusion of a natural shadow.
For my card today I used Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, & Wild Wasabi. Here’s a look at the colors I used one this card.

This Month in honor of my 2 Year Stampin’ Anniversary I am running weekly customer promotions. Each week the customer gift will be posted on my blog on Monday. This week if you place a $75 order (before taxes and shipping) in my online store you will receive the NEW Old Olive 3/8” Mini Chevron Ribbon In July for FREE.
The Monthly Host Code will close on June 30th, and I will close out the workshop the following day. Once I get the order back (which usually about a week once I place the order), I will package them up and pop them in the mail to you. Please make sure you do not mark No Contact on the Stampin’ Up! website because I will not be able to access your information to send you your Thank you packet and your free gift for a qualifying order. Below is an image where to place the host code. Use the above Host/Hostess code for your orders under a $150 and receive a special gift from me this month. Gifts will be sent to you separate of your orders the following month. If your order is over $150 please don’t use the host code. You will already receive a special gift from me and you get your Stampin’ Rewards.
