First of all let me wish everyone out there in a fatherly roll a Happy Father’s Day. With that being said my card today is for the dads in your life. I created this card and offered the kits as one of my 2nd Year Anniversary Customer gifts. I have changed each gift that I have offered for ordering this month since June marked my anniversary as a demonstrator and I wanted to give customers a chance to earn a few of my favorite things. So I wanted to share one of the cards that I created in the opening celebration this month. I created a set of masculine cards using Guy Greetings from Stampin’ Up!. Here’s a look at the card that I am going to share in honor of dads today.
My color combination for this card was Calypso Coral, Fresh Fig, and Crumb Cake. These colors are warm and very masculine but can be used in other ways for more famine cards. You can change the feel of the card by using the same color combination but in different ways. For my card today I wanted to give the fill of a bold bright cheerful card.
Guy Greetings Fill Your Shoes Father’s Day Card

I love the two the Calypso Coral and Fresh Fig paired with Crumb Cake. Okay, there’s not much that I don’t love paired with Crumb Cake. I love the warm soft homey fill that Crumb Cake makes me feel and think of. I would totally take a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to the paint store and have them Paint match it to paint a room in. Hmmm, this may just have to happen.
I stamped the shoes from the stamp set in a repetitive pattern on the top and bottom of the Calypso Coral cardstock in matching ink. I wanted it to mimic the strip of Fresh Fig cardstock that I was putting in the center of the card. I am fine with the fact that they are not perfectly straight. I didn’t want them to be all in a row. For any time that I stamp anything that is a repetitive pattern and I want them to line up perfectly I use my Stamp-A-ma-jig. Which is a wonderful tool that allows you to do this. The hardest part is of using this little magic tool is lining up the piece of plastic with the arm that lines up with the block. Must-have for any stamper. Helps you position stamp image exactly where you want, every time. Instructions included. Perfect for alphabet sets among anything that you want to line up perfectly or repeat the pattern in a line.
I stamped the first sentiment on the fresh fig cardstock in fresh fig ink and placed it on the card front. Next I stamped the Happy Father’s Day below that addition.
This layer was popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals unto a piece of Fresh Fig cardstock cut at 5 1/4 x 4. I layered that unto the Crumb Cake Card base which was just a standard size of 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. I tried to make this a clean and simple card that was very fun and masculine.
The Guy Greetings stamp set is such a good one for anything masculine. It has some great images as well as sentiments for any male in your life. This stamp set lets you give hats off to dad and all the other significant men in your life! They’ve done so much for you–the least you can do is make them a card that they’ll be proud to show off, stamped with their favorite things. This is one of the few stamps sets that comes in Wood Mount, Clear Mount, and photopolymer.
