Hello stampers, crafters, and friends thank you for joining us for this month’s One Stamp At A Time Blog hop. Each month the designers create two projects with the theme of the month. Usually we all create a card and a 3D project, but sometimes people create two cards. This month our theme for this month’s hop is Clean and Simple. Sometimes it takes me a little while to come up with the clean and simple cards. I can come up with Clean and layered easily. Here’s a look at my project for today’s hop.
This project is really one that shows you a new look for the Eastern Palace bundle. It’s both clean and simple but has a great impact when given to someone. It features both the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Eastern Medallions Thinlit dies. Both the card and the box feature a raised front panel.
This is a fun color combination! The yellow in the Lemon Lime twist plays very nicely with the perfect plum and everything is balanced out by the smoky slate and whisper white. The lemon lime twist gives your projects just a little extra pop of electric color; that wow factor without having to create a super complicated four day project. It just makes everything more powerful and exciting with just that little addition can make a world of difference. If you are looking for something to take your project to the next level before you try a new stamp set, die, or embellishment, give Lemon Lime Twist a try; it will give you what you need.
The box is probably one of my favorite projects that I have created lately. I will be sharing a How to Video on Friday, that’s how much I am in love with this box. The floating/raised front measures 3″ x 3″ x well that’s were it gets a little tricky. Depending on what you have on the inside it can be 3″ x 3″ x 3″ and goes all the way down to 3″ x 3″ x 1 5/8″. To keep both projects cohesive I used the same colors, and created the top to match the card front. On the side I used the same piece of designer series paper matted on Smokey Slate cardstock. The bottom of the box is created in Perfect Plum. By using all the colors that I used to create the card it helped to create two totally different but the same projects.
