This month’s Paper Pumpkin was really cute it was entitled Bunny Buddies. It featured nine bunny shaped gift bags and nine 3×3 cards. I had a fun time creating with this month’s kit and had a fun time creating alternative projects with the extras, plus a little extra cardstock. Here’s a look at one of my alternative cards for this month’s kit.
For those of you that missed my Unboxing and How to post for the this month’s kit you can view it here. This was a really fun kit and just in time for Easter. I couldn’t think of anything to do with the bags yet so I still have to think about what to do with them. Here’s a look at what came in this month’s kit.
Here’s a look at the alternative projects that I came up with this month.
The succulents at the top is probably one of my favorite next to the card that I am show on the video today. It really wasn’t that hard with what came in the kit, and the addition of the festive flower punch and the blossom builder punch.
But, the card I am sharing features the egg stamps that came in the set this month. I actually cut them apart very carefully. Once that was complete I took a 2″ by 4 1/4″ piece of watercolor paper (yes this is actually Stampin’ Up!’s watercolor paper; I wanted to try it and was very happy with the quality.) And, used the Banner Triple punch and flagged the end. Once this was done I used my embossing buddy and stamped the each eggs in versamark ink. I put white embossing powder on the stamped eggs and heat embossed. Once they had cooled I took my aqua painter and some so saffron ink and created a solid wash of color on the entire piece. You, can let it dry or heat set it. I’m a little impatient so I always use a dryer or heat tool to dry it. If you use the heat tool you do need to be careful and not over heat the embossing powder, it can burn. Once that was done I took at 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock, and stamped the images from Hey Chick (Sale-A-Bration stamp set). Which was a fun combination of images, the Hey Chick stamp set features a variety of chicken images so paired with the Easter egg stamp from the Bunny Buddies kit it was so much fun, since you can’t have one without the others. Once this was stamped I attached it to the 4 1/4 x 11 So Saffron card base. I took the Sweet Sugarplum baker’s twine from the kit and wrapped it around the banner. I attached the bow (see video) and completed the card.
