Hello stampers crafters and friends today I am sharing with you my projects for this months OSAT’s Birthday Bash blog hop. Each month we create two different projects to share inspire and motivate you. Usually we create a card and a 3D project. Here’s a look at my projects this month.
I picked the new Birthday Blast bundle and the new Sale-a-bration glimmmer paper (which you can only get by placing a $50 order before taxes and shipping in my online store). This is some great bling it comes in Sweet sugarplum, mint macaron, and Bermuda bay. Here’s a look at the stamp set and the cost saving bundle.
Birthday Blast stamp set and the Star Blast Edgelits and when purchased together using the bundle product code you can save 10 percent. This set comes in both clear mount and wood mount.
One of the main elements of this card is the use of the 6X6 Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack one of the new Sale-A-Bration items that came out on February 21st. This pack of Glimmer paper features this small usable size glimmer paper in the following colors, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum, and Bermuda Bay. The only way to get this limited time item is by placing a $50 order (before tax and shipping) in my online store if you are in the US.
This glimmer paper actually cuts wonderfully in the big shot using the new base plate. I also turned it upside down so that the glimmer was facing the bottom of the plate and not the die.
Big Things Come in Small Packages:
For my 3D project this month I created a pretty good size box to hold either a nice birthday gift, or some little treats or even better money! This little box actually is a nice size. It measures 2″ x 4″ x 2″, which for a hand made box is a good size. You can fit a lot of goodies in this little box.
My color theme for this month’s project is different for most birthday projects. I picked Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum, and Dapper denim, with the banner made of Whisper White. I wanted something that most people wouldn’t think of to put together and new that I wanted to use the Mint Macaron glimmer paper so it had to be in the mix. I actually love the combination of the soft and regal colors.
I carried elements from both projects throughout each. For example the embossed star background of the card was carried on the panels of the box, to tie everything together. The same as the star blast edgelit which was cut from the glimmer paper and used on both the card and the box. To keep the star theme going I embossed the envelope flap as well.
