Hello stampers and crafter & friends welcome to this month’s Blogging Friends Blog Hop; this month our theme is Anything with Love. This month we have another Guest Blogger with us, the amazing Tami White. We are super excited for her to hop along with us this month.
My project this month looks really simple on the outside but holds a little surprise for the recipient on the inside. I love a card that packs a surprise be it on the outside or in. When someone opens a handmade card the look on their face gives me great joy. I love sending cards so very much and when I can send/give one like this month’s card and I can see the recipient’s face gives great joy. Let’s have a look at my card for this month’s hop.
It’s All in The Paper:
To keep the outside of the card simple I only used a piece of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack cut at 4 x 5 1/4. I picked the paper that had love in all the different languages, I thought this was perfect for the theme. What better way to say I love you than to say it in more than one language. I wished I was multilingual, but sadly I do well to speak english some days. To add to the love theme I used the Sweet and Sassy Framelits dies and cut out two hearts. I also used the arrow from the Love Notes framelits dies and cut it into and pieced it so that it looked like it was going through the larger red heart.
This paper stack features so many designs on 48 sheets. The Sending Love Paper stack features six each of eight double sided designs, were must only have four of each double sided designs. So this makes a great paper stack to pick up for Valentine’s Day and more, because you can get more treats or cards from this one stack then before. Each sheet is double-sided for double the creative options. The smaller size works beautifully on card fronts. The coordinating colors in the paper stack are Real Red and Whisper White. With this traditional color combination for Valentine’s Day you can never go wrong.
Twist & Shout:
Like I said before the inside of my card is not the usual card. Not in the least, this card was actually featured in my last online class. When you open the this card you get a little surprise, it’s a twist and pop up card. If you have not seen this card you must have been hiding under a rock somewhere, this has been one of the hottest cards this summer. Here’s a look at the inside of the card.
This is really not as hard as you think it would be. It does use a lot of paper to create this card. You are using a whole sheet basically for the inside of the card and a half sheet on the outside plus the pop out part of the card. The pop out part of the card is decorated with the stamped images from the Sealed with Love Stamp set. The little envelope was created with the Love Notes framelits, and a little scrap of the Bright’s Paper stack. The strips on the inside of the card were left over pieces of paper that was used to create the front of the card. Which is one of the great benefits of the paper stack, to be able to use two designs from one sheet.
