Good morning my friends, stampers, and crafters. I hope that you are having a wonderful day. Today I am sharing with you my card for this weeks Paper Craft Crews new challenge this week. This week we are having a color challenge. As with all challenges this is great because you have free reign to do what ever you want within the specifications of the Color Challenge. Here’s my card for today.
And here’s this weeks challenge card for the Paper Craft Crews Color Challenge.
This was a color combination that I wouldn’t have put together, so it was interesting to put them together. I started out with just Cherry Cobbler, Perfect Plum, and Silver Foil, but ended up adding Blushing Bride just because it needed a little extra pop.
The Very Vanilla was added as my neutral for stamping the sentiments on both the inside and outside. I also used Blushing Bride and stamped the large flower in the stamp set on the inside of the card, the sentiment was stamped in Perfect Plum.
Tips & Tricks:
When you are creating this card it does involve a little paper piecing or inlaying some of the delicate cut outs. For example the Perfect plum leaf was cut out and replaced once the Perfect Plum layer was stamped and placed on top of the Silver Foil paper. I used fast fuse and on the flower cut out I used multipurpose glue and a sponge (which is how I attached the silver and the plum leaves to the card.
The Blushing Bride flower center was done in the same way. I used the 3/8″ metallic ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure on the front of the card to add a little more bling to the card. This is really nice ribbon, it comes with gold and silver. The metallic ribbons ties beautifully.
I have created a Picture for you to pin on Pinterest. This image has all the major things that I used to create this card. I wanted to give you something that you could easily remember what was used to create this card so that you could reproduce it.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you enjoyed my card and that you will take a little time today to play along with us this week at the Paper Craft Crew. If you need any of the supplies that I used to create this card you can pick them up in my online store.
