Hello friends, stampers, and crafters! I hope that you are having a great day, it’s a nice rainy day here in Alabama, so I thought that today would be a perfect day to send some hugs and kisses out to everyone. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner it’s time to start thinking about sending some love to people in your life. Today, I am sharing with you a quick and easy Valentine’s Day Card with you. My card features new product from the new 2017 Occasions Catalog. Let’s have a look at today’s card.
What do you think? I hope that you like it and it makes you think of LOVE! I think we all need a little more Love in our lives don’t we?
Tips & Tricks:
This is really a very easy card to reproduce. When you run the 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 piece of whisper white cardstock through the Big Shot with the Falling Petals Texture Impressions Embossing Folder you have to be really careful of placement. If you let it slip just slightly the “petals” or hearts the way I am using them can go catty whompous and you do not want that at all.
When stamping the fine script font of the Sealed with Love stamp set you; you have to use very very light tough. If your touch is to hard you will get a fuzzy image.
I took the embossed piece of whisper white and placed it on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the Sending Love Designer Series Paper. This paper stack features traditional Valentine colors, making it super easy to create with. You can pair the Real Red and Whisper White colors in this paper stack with so many color combinations, to create so many different feels and moods. You can pair it with black for a very elegant card, or pair it with Pool Party for a totally different feel to the card. The Sending Love Paper Stack also features forty-eight pieces have eight double sided designs. Here’s the kicker instead of the standard four each of eight designs this paper stack has six sheets of each eight designs. What’s that mean for you? Well it give you more wonderful paper to decorate even more cards. Another feature of this paper stack is that you get both very classic designs like polka dots to more modern designs like pin striped hearts, which means you have more options to create wonderful cards.
Let’s have a look at the inside of my card. I wanted to keep the inside very simple and clean.
I stamped the small line of hearts along the bottom of the card to create some weight on the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment just above this line. This weighed stamping allows me to draw attention to the sentiment, but still allows me room to write a message in the card.
To finish off the front of the card I created a small flag banner with a 1/2″ piece of whisper white and stamped the sentiment in Real Red classic ink. Next I added a simple wood heart embellishment from the Sending Love Embellishments. I attached the hear to the card front using some fast fuse, to make sure it stayed secured on the embossed panel.
