He screams! She screams! We all scream for ice cream! Is exactly what I thought of when I received this set at OnStage in Atlanta in November. This is such a fun and cool stamp set that I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and the Frozen Treats Framelits to play with them both. I mean who wouldn’t love to get an ice cream themed card: Including adults and children alike.
Today continues my Nine days of Sale-A-Bration my lead up to the launch of the upcoming Occasions Catalog. So I wanted to share something fun and something that would inspire you, as well as make you feel good. And, this stamp set just makes you happy. I mean really who doesn’t like ice cream or ice creamed themed things. I know I do as a fat kid I love sweets, which is my downfall. I will be using this stamp set in an upcoming Online Class so stay turned for that announcement. So with that I am going to share my card with you today.
Shake Shake Shake:
So this is a fun card not just because it’s ice cream themed, or because it has yummy colors, but because it is a shaker card too. If you look in the ice cream scoops you will see some gorgeous sprinkles moving around.
Anytime you add a shaker element to a card you add a whole new level of fun to the card with really not a lot of effort. Shakers look hard but once you figure one out all the rest are a piece of cake (no pun intended). The Sprinkles Embellishments come in Pool Party, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach sequins and plastic shapes not to mention the small white pearls. When placed inside a shaker card using this suite of products you have a whole new world of possibilities to play with.
Dress it up:
To dress things up for the person getting this card you can stamp one of the ice cream images on the front of the envelopes as well as stamp the diagonal stripe background stamp on the flap in Watermelon Wonder ink to tie in the envelope to the front of the card. The diagonal stripe on the front of the card was created with a couple strips of the diagonal watermelon wonder Designer series paper from the 2015-2017 In color paper stack.
To finish off the card I stamped the sentiment on the front in Peekaboo peach which matches the card front. I love a nice tone on tone sentiment; it’s both subtel and impactful at the same time.
I also added some watercolor washes around the bowl of ice cream to tie in the peekaboo peach. You can achieve this with the pumpkin pie watercolor pencil by applying more and less pressure and a blender pen.
To finish off the inside I stamped Happiest Birthday in Watermelon wonder and I hope your days is as sweet as you are in peekaboo peach on whisper white and mounted it on a piece of crumb cake. My main colors for this card are nice and bright and just make you happy.
The image below recaps the tools that I used most of all to create this card. This is also a great image to save to Pinterest so that you can remember what was used to create this card.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you find a little cool treat today that makes you smile. Remember that these products will be available starting January 4th, with the release of the new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Until then happy stamping.
