Today, I am sharing with you another sneak peek at the upcoming Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs in day two of my 9 Days of Sale-A-Bration series. Each day I am sharing with you a new featured product in the upcoming catalogs. The catalog goes live to customers on January 4, 2017. You can see yesterday posts which features the Yummy in My Tummy Stamp set by clicking here!
For day 2 I wanted to show you something that was in the Sale-A-Bration brochure. Which means that when you spend $50 in any of the current catalogs you can pick an item from the Sale-A-Bration for FREE! So this was one the Free items that I picked. I just loved it when I saw it at OnStage back in November. Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper, Yes today’s post is all about this wonderful fun new paper. This is a fun, special paper that is unlink any other that Stampin’ Up! has ever offered. Why you may ask, well it’s all black and white. No, it’s not just a black and white print. It’s black and white coloring sheets. Yes each piece has a different design on it that you can color in any which way you would like, talk about color coordination. How could it get any better you can color it to mach any card or project. Each sheet is only one sided where most of our Designer Series Paper is two sided. This paper plays great with our new watercolor pencils. Here’s a look at my card for today.
I cut the paper down to a 3 3/4 x 4 1/4 piece and used the watercolor pencils to color it in. I do recommend that you don’t use your aqua painter with the paper but use the blender pen instead. If you get to much water on it it not only buckles but can pill. Once it was all colored I did use the aqua painter so I had to dry it with the heat tool and it did buckle, but after I got it dried (I even dried front and back like I do my watercolor paper to spend drying and to reflatten it back out: This did not help with this paper) I came back with the blender pen and more watercolor pencils and got a better saturation of color.
This paper pares well with a lot of different techniques, and I know that there will be a lot more shared in the next few months. So you will want to stay turn.
To finish off the card I placed the Inside the Lines piece on a mat of Old Olive cut at 4 x 5 1/4 and placed it on a Soft Sky card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2. To finish off the card I placed the sentiment on a piece of 1/2″ x 4 1/4 piece of old olive and stamped in the same color one of the sentiments from the Dragonfly Dream stamp set. I also added some dragonflies using the detailed dragonflies thinlits dies. This finished off my card and added just the right touch to balance out the card.
Thanks for dropping by today I hope that you will join me in the next few days to see more of the upcoming products. If you don’t have a demonstrator that you are currently working with I would love to be your demonstrator. These products will be available in my online store starting January 4th.
