Well hello on this cold Sunday morning I wanted to share with you a quick and easy gift idea for the holiday season. That could be reproduced easily. I used the wrapped in Warmth stamp set to create the tag and the 6×17 gusseted bags all in the holiday catalog.
I do love this stamp set and I am very sad that it is retiring. It was one of my favorites and must have sets when the catalog released. But when something goes away something else just as wonderful will come along.
To Create the Gift:
- Mugs (I purchased mine from the dollar tree)
- Candy canes (I got both small and regular sizes)
- Paper shreds
- 6×17 cello bags
- 3×6 gusseted cello bags
- Very vanilla scrap and cherry cobbler scrap
- Hot chocolate or teas
The first thing I did was open the large cello bag (to make a sturdier bag you can add a piece of cardstock or cardboard from a pack of dsp cut to size) and place some paper shreds inside then place the mug in. Add two packs (at least) of hot chocolate or teas to the mug. Add two large candy canes with the hot chocolate packets. Add a little more paper shreds I chose both red and white to use in mine. Next I added some mini candy canes and some chocolate to the bags. I put about two cups of mini marshmallows in the small gussetted cello bags and tied with ribbon. This was placed beside the mug. Once everything was in the bag I tied it up with retired ribbon that was on the clearance rack that way it kept the project inexpensive to give. Stamp the sentiment of your choice in cherry cobbler ink and attach it to cherry cobbler cardstock after you cut them out using the layering square framelits. Here’s another look at today’s project.
