Hello Stampers and Crafters, I hope that you are having a wonderful day. As most of you know if you have been following my blog you know that I have been sharing with you my swaps for OnStage in Atlanta this weekend. As I am posting this I am on my way. This is one of my swaps for the 3D swap that I am taking part in. Here’s a look at today’s swaps.
I made this cute little box that measures 2/14 x 2 x 3/4. Give or take a little. It’s big enough to hold a couple votive candles, and still room for some other small things. Now this is not the actual swap that I am sharing today, but this was my inspiration for them that I created.
I love to mix colors that you don’t normally think of together. I know that most people wouldn’t put these colors really together. But, really when you think about it Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral, and Peekaboo Peach are all a hue of orange. Some are tints, and tones of Orange but they are all in the same hue. What is a tone and tint you may ask? Well they are terms used in art to describe different hues. In color theory a tint is any color mixed with white; example pumpkin pie mixed with white would technically give you peekaboo peach. A tone in color theory is a color mixed with gray. And a shade is a color mixed with black. The complementary color of orange is blue. And, everything looks good with a little black. This is how these colors all work together.
I challenge you to try this and you will see what I am talking about. I hope that you enjoyed my project today and make sure that you check in over the weekend and see what is going on. If you would like any of the products you’ve seen today you can pick them up in my online store, by clicking on the product below. See you soon.
