Hello Stampers and Crafters this is a busy week for thousands of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators as we all get ready for OnStage events all over. Some will be attending the main event in Australia while others will be attending Local events. I will be attending the OnStage in Atalanta, but no matter where everyone will be attending we all will be doing one thing. We will be doing Card Swaps, 3D project swaps, Candy Wrapper Swaps, card candy swaps, etc. so that means that we all have been working hard designing, casing, and creating these designs. So this week I am sharing my swaps, my original designs that I have reworked due to one reason or another, along with the redesigned swap cards.
The first card that I am sharing is part of the 143 general swaps I have made over the last few weeks. This design came to me after I had hit the creative design wall the other day. I created eight different cards before I came up with this design which by the way was nothing like what I had started. It doesn’t even use the design, products, stamp sets, or paper that I had originally started. The original just wasn’t working and sometimes you just have to go in a new direction to get where you want to be. This card proves just that! So let me share the first card in with my Onstage Swap Reveal.
The color combination for this card is actually pulled from the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper. They are bright and cheerful and great for so many different occasions.
This is such a bright and fun color combo. I picked Flirty Flamingo, Cucumber Crush, Daffodil Delight, and Night of Navy (all of which can be found in the Designer Series paper that I pulled the colors from.) This is such a bright and cheerful color combo that it will make the recipient so happy. It was perfect to make it a birthday card.
Tips & Tricks:
I know that you are probably wondering where the Daffodil Delight Glimmer Butterfly came from. Well it’s not as hard as you may think. I took dazzling diamond glimmer paper, some Daffodil Delight reinker, a container, some alcohol and an aqua painter.
I took the reinker and put some alcohol in the container and mixed them up and painted the glimmer paper let it dry and used the elegant butterfly punch and punched all of them out. This is a great way to create any color glimmer paper that you need, for any project.
The focal image was created with the Floral Affection Texture Impression Embossing Folder. After running them through the big shot I added the stamped daffodil delight piece to the left hand side along with some Night of Navy Bakers twine. To finish off everything I added some Rhinestones to the center of the embossed image. Matter it with some cucumber crush and bam!
That finishes off my first Onstage Swap reveal for this week I hope that you enjoyed, and if you would like to get in on the fun of a Stampin’ Up! event you can do so by joining my team.
