Hello Stampers and crafters, Halloween is just around the corner and you still have time to get your Halloween crafts done. Today I am going to share with you one of my favorite Halloween sets from the 2016 Holiday Catalog. I already was in love with the Jar of Love stamp set from the Annual catalog so when we got the new Jar of Haunts Stamp in the Holiday catalog and it coordinated with the Everyday Jars Framelits dies it was a no brainier: Also it has another stamp set in the Holiday catalog that goes with these framelits (Jar of Cheer). Here is what the Jar of Love stamp set bundle looks like.
The best part is not only that if you buy the Jar of Love Bundle (which lets you save 10%) you can also pair it with the Jar of Haunts and Jar of Cheers stamp sets and have three sets to go with one set of framelits. Order today by clicking here! So without any further ado here is my Jar of Haunts card.
This is such a fun set for Halloween you just can not go wrong with it. The Mummy jar is probably one of my favorites from the set. I just think he is so cute. Not to mention I love to learn anything about Egyptian History or Pharaohs. I stamped the images using memento tuxedo black ink knowing that I was going to use some markers to color. I picked some alcohol markers to color the images after stamping them all. There’s no set colors that I used they were just some inexpensive ones that I had that I really didn’t use very often. But the worked well.
On the center jar I added the Grinch smile it just reminds me of him so much. This actually ended up being the main focus of my card at this point so I chose my cardstocks accordingly. I picked an Always Artichoke Card base and layered my colored image onto a piece of Basic Black cut at 4 x 5 1/4. Here’s a look at the actual stamp set so that you can see that I added the smile.
So as I was creating the Halloween card I couldn’t forget about the trick or treaters that would be coming around on All Hallows Eves. So I created a mini treat bag using the Mini treat bag thinlits and the jar of haunts stamp set.
I created the treat bag out of the Halloween night Specialty Designer Series Paper. I picked the print with all the pumpkins on it for this part of the project. I created a tag using some whisper white card stock and stamped the jar on the tag added the eyes and had them float in the jar. It had to have the goo coming down from the top of the jar so I added it also. I stamped the sentiment in pumpkin pie at the top of the card. To finish the quick treat bag off I punched it out using the scalloped tag topper punch and tied some of the Halloween night bakers twine through the top and secured it and attached the tag to the treat bag using some fast fuse.
