Well I had my first official Holiday catalog Launch party last night.  It was great fun I got to see old friends that I haven’t gotten to see in awhile as well as friends that I see more frequently.

I got to introduce stamping and Stampin’ Up! to a couple of friends that had never stamped before and some that have been to one of my classes or workshops.   I held the event at my church’s fellowship hall because it was a good central location for people that I had invited from my home town and around the area as well as people in other cities that I know.  It wasn’t but 25 or 30 minutes away from my home studio so transporting everything wasn’t bad.

Pictured above in the entry way was my sign up table for my door prize and I had placed the new catalogs for people to pick up as they came in.  The blue table cloth I’ve used the last few years for my table at art festivals and it has the same blue in it as my logo so it worked out perfectly.   We actually made the table cloth.   I had purchased the fabric and with just a little surging to finish the edges boom I had a custom table cloth.   The new addition was the orange burlap overlay which I found at Tuesday Mornings for $2.99 last week.   I wanted to add a little fall color to the color scheme and since orange is my favorite color it was perfect.

As usual I forgot something, no surprise I know.   But once we got there and set everything up I realized I forgot my sign up to win sign.  Which also told people what the door prize was.   But it was okay.   Everything went well the sad part was it was sitting right there by my rolling bags to take so I wouldn’t forget it.   Hmmm we all see how well that worked out for me huh!

Next people could move from there and browse my card displays.  Which after setting up I realized that I had more Christmas cards made then fall and Halloween cards so I will be making a few more to balance that all out.   But here’s a look at my display boards I made for the night.   

As you can see I have room on the Fall and Halloween boards to add more stuff.   I did display a sampling of all the holiday Designer Series Papers for people to be able to view them in person.

I also did a display board for the kits in the holiday catalog.  The ones that I didn’t preorder I printed off the photos and enlarged them for people to view as well as the information about each.   I also created a few card examples of cards that could be created using the stamp set for the Tin of Tags Project Kit.

As you moved along the u shape table configuration you came a cross my BOGO table.  People could pick these to go along with their new catalog purchases.    They got to pick sets that were of equal or lesser value depending on the amount purchased.    These were retired stamps that I had gotten but never used and was a great way to reward the people that came last night and made a purchase.

Next came the first table for my make and takes.   They made a rain deer tag at the first station using the new Cookie cutter Christmas stamp set.  

Very simple and easy. Next they moved to the second table were they made a 3×3 card which could also be used as a tag with a little modification (basically just punching a hole and adding some bakers twine to it).   For this make and take they used the seasonal bell bundle in the holiday catalog.   

From there they moved on to snacks or they could sit at the group of tables in the center of the room to Browse through the new catalog and chit chat with others.

As we went through the come and go style event people that made purchases last night got  to spin my Spin To Win game were everyone was a winner.   

Anyone that spent $35 dollars before taxes and shipping got to spin the wheel and get a small prize free.   They all loved it and had a great time.  I even had a friend who sat there and just played with it for a while and we just all laughed.  It was hysterical.

All in all everyone had a great night and we all had a lot of fun talking Stampin and laughing.
