Thanks for joining us for this months Blogging Friends Blog Hop.  This month we are doing a theme hop.   Think everything tropical: flamingos, pineapples, palms oh my.   Here’s what I came up with using the Pop of Paradise Stamp set new in the Annual catalog.

Pop of Paradice card

Well actually my cards are a one sheet wonder.  I created 10 cards using only one 12×12 sheet of whisper white cardstock that I stamped my own design using the Pop of Paradise and Gorgeous Grudge Stamp sets.   I wanted to create something summery and fun for my cards but didn’t have any tropical Designer Series Paper so I made my own.

Creating your own DSP

Creating your own is a great way to one create a number of cards that all go together, and two you can create Designer Series Paper to match any theme that you may need that we don’t have.   All you need is a 12×12 sheet of cardstock, some stamps, ink and let go and just stamp a wonderful pattern.   I usually start with my largest stamp in the center and stamp three around the paper.   Next I move on to some of the other images and just fill the page up; making sure to rotate and vary my patterns.

My Cards

I used two and a 1/2 sheets of Melon Mambo Cardstock and two and 1/2 sheets of Delightful Dijon, each cut to make 10 A2 size cards.  I varied the orientation of my first cut to either make them side folds or top  folding cards.  I matted everything using 2 sheets of Basic Black Cardstock.   This makes me happy when I can produce a number of cards using such small amounts of paper.

Color wise I tried to keep everything bright and cheerful.   I used Emerald Envy, Cucumber Crush, Melon Mambo, Delightful Dijon, a little Old Olive, and Basic Black.  That way everything coordinated.

Well that finishes up my cards for this month, thanks for dropping by:  Make sure that you hop along the rest of the blog up and check out what all the other wonderful Members did.   I hope that you give this card a try if you find yourself in a pinch.   You could easily change it up to meet any occasion.  Thanks for dropping by and I will see you tomorrow.   Remember, if you need any of the supplies for this card you can pick them up 24/7 from my online store.
