Hello everyone!    I hope you are all doing well.   Today’s card is all about some of the new product coming out in the new catalog.

I know your probably wondering where have you been?   We’ve not seen a post from you in a week or two.    Well I found out two weeks ago that I was diabetic.  So I’ve been dealing with that and trying to get everything under control.  I am not having to take insulin, but I do have to maintain a healthy diet and keep track of my blood sugars.  So dealing with that my card posts and tutorials had to take a back seat for just a little while.   Everything’s going swimmingly and I’m doing everything I’m supposed to do.  The doctor said that we’ve caught it early enough that as long as I do what I should and eat better and take my pill regularly that everything should be fine and that there shouldn’t be any long term effects. So let’s get to the card.

For per-order we had a limited number of things we could order from the new catalog.  This is one of the stamp sets I picked. It’s called Love & Affection, if you love flowers this is a great one.   It has some wonderful imagery to build flowers and they look great in cards.

The images are stamped using watermelon wonder classic ink and the new flirty flamingo classic ink (which if you haven’t seen it yet is one of the new 2016-2018 in colors).   I watercolored the images with both colors; watermelon wonder and flirty flamingo work great together they complement each other in hue and value wonderfully.

This cute little embleshment was created using the new Floral Affection textured impressions embossing folders.   They are a edgelet type of folders you get two different designs in a pack.   I then colored it the same way and fussy cut it out.   I used this element of some swaps I took part in last week and I am waiting to get my swaps returned to see what all the other great Demostrators did.  To add a little more glitzy effect to it.  I used the clear wink of Stella brush pen to watercolor I nstead of the aqua painters.  This added just a little more glamour to the card.  And, you all know I like a little glamour and glitz.

I tried to get a better picture of the glitz but it didn’t turn out to well on film.   To add just a little more I added some of the gold metalic thread behind.  And a couple Stampin rhinestones.   I popped it up on some Stampin’ demisionals so that it would stand out from the stamped images not that it didn’t any way.

The Love & Affections stamp set has some wonderful sentiments in it.  I just loved the “you are every lovely word I could possibly think of” sentiment.   Who in the world would not smile if they got that in the mail.  I know I would.    And you could pair it with so many others.   Like birthdays, thank you cards, just because, the list could go on and on.

I paired it with the petite petals stamp set to add just a little more flowers to the arrangement.

My color combo is wild wasabi, watermelon wonder, flirty flamingo, basic black daffodil delight and whisper white.   The black was to make the imagery pop out just a little more.

Thanks for dropping by today and I will be back to my regular video and blog schedule next week.  Until then happy stamping.

If you would like to order any of the products you’ve seen today you can do so starting June 1sr when the nex catalog launches from my online store
